Meet Joel Dumke, Euphonium

If you've been to a summer concert, you might have noticed that our emcee, Jeff Gagliardi, enjoys telling euphonium tales, even referring to our euphonium section as a tribe of sorts, called the Euphonians.

"At first the rest of the band resisted the Euphonians," Jeff has said. "They were different from the rest of us ó we feared them and thought of them as a threat. But we were wrong to fear them. We saw quickly that the Euphonians came in peace. They are hard workers and their culture and contributions have enriched us greatly. We are proud to embrace the Euphonians as our friends."

It seems only right that as we mark our last concert of the season, we feature "Euphonian" Joel Dumke.
